Dayton Design Week December 9th-15th, 2019

The Inaugural Dayton Design Week is a grassroots effort organized by community volunteers seeking to increase public awareness and  appreciation of all aspects of design and its impact on society, culture, people and business.  Fostering recognition of the important role design plays in our lives, and bring new audiences to a wide array of design industries and organizations.

We encourage the  public to explore all aspects of design via independently  and collaboratively organized events that celebrate and explore design across all disciplines.   Whether it's fashion, tech inventions, culture changing products, human centered design, architecture, household products, and tech you wear or carry in your pockets, Dayton Design Week is an vital week-long city-wide festival that showcases the unique intersection of ideas, design, business & entrepreneurial-ism that makes the Miami Valley area the birthplace of innovation and aviation.

Born from a historically free-spirited Dayton Emerging Fashion Incubator (DE-FI) LLC and coupled with the imaginative vision of contemporary design and state-of-the-art technology.  We are pioneering new ways of looking at the world through studio tours and events.   We will partner with our sister company Dayton Fashion Week to celebrate this spirit of newness by providing unique access to exhibitions and conversations with the designers who are shaping the future — from architecture to fashion, product design to digital services, and everything in between.

Events will range in topic and size. They will consist of meetups, workshops, talks and social gatherings held by individual artists, creative companies and organizations that serve the design community in some way. If you'd like to produce and host your own Experience for Dayton Design Week via unique access to exhibitions, studio tours, conversations or more, please see Event Hosting 101 for additional information.
